Hi,
my name is Tony Murdock, and I have been practicing
meditation and studying yoga philosophy and mysticism
since 1972. I received my Master's degree
from McMaster University in Sanskrit and Hindu Religious
History, with a minor in Christian Studies. |
My
meditation experience has given me the tools to work successfully
for 12 years in corporate middle management.
It also taught
me to balance my life as a meditator with both my work and
personal life.
For
the past ten years I have been facilitating meditation
classes and workshops in various parts of Ontario and in
Vancouver, BC. My personal practice and coursework incorporate
a
blend of meditations drawn from a variety of religious and
spiritual traditions, including Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity.
In
1973 I received my spiritual name 'Vishnu Das', which means "devotee of the preserving or sustaining aspect
of God."
I
have been teaching meditation and yoga philosophy at The
Yoga Centre of Burlington since 2000 and am one of the original instructors in the Yoga Teacher's Training Program.
I
also teach a variety of workshops and classes at various centres in Toronto, Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville, Brampton, Brantford, Hamilton and St Catharines. See the Events Calendar for details.
In addition, I offer The Meditation Facilititor Training Program. The Meditation Facilitator Training Program is a comprehensive 250 hour program that teaches the essential elements of meditation, yoga philosophy, world mysticism, spiritual leadership and compassionate living. See related links on this web-site for more information.
